Seagrass Recovery, Inc., started out when our favorite pastime, fishing and waterskiing was about to be cancelled due in part by boaters being uneducated about the damage that was being caused to one of our most precious resources. When the powers that be suggested closing our favorite waterways due to damage from boats we stood tall, Formed Cockroach Bay Users Group ( "C-BUG"), and asked if we could have control of our waterway and refurbish it back to its origianl condition. So we started planting, and planting, and walking all over the bay. Many people were stung by stingrays, many more grasses were trampled by the volunteers. So Jim thought to himself, "there has to be a better, easier, and less damageing way to do this". J.E.B. was born

As the need for environmental protection increase. Seagrass Recovery, Inc., is on a mission to recover and salvage our aquatic environment. As founder of Seagrass Recovery, Inc., Jim Anderson once said, "Seagrass beds are to the fish and crabs like trees are to the birds and animals." Using Mr. Anderson's creations
- J.E.B. and the M.U.T.V. -
Seagrass beds in existing areas and those areas to be developed, can be relocated or planted in areas damaged by past projects or in need of seagrass. Using these methods, seagrasses can be transplanted or planted at a faster rate compared to the conventional method of transplanting small plugs of the plant at a time. The result is a more efficient, environmentally sound means of protecting the seagrass that our underwater ecosystem greatly depends on.
